Keep doing the good work

Hey Reader,

Right now, I know so many changemakers like you are feeling the weight of the events unfolding in your community and around the world.

It’s about more than headlines. The fear, anxiety, and heartbreak are real—and they may leave you feeling unsettled and questioning whether you’re truly making a difference.

You’re witnessing the impact firsthand as you work hard to move your mission forward and support those directly affected while struggling to take care of yourself and your loved ones.

Despite what may seem like an endless stream of chaos, cruelty, and despair, I invite you to remember that good things are happening all around you every day.

There are stories of hope, communities coming together, and good folks like you who continue to show up and keep the trains moving.

The good news is that you get to live at this moment in time. You get to be here now and make a difference with your gifts, talents, and resources while you still have a heartbeat.

You matter. Your work matters. And you are making an important difference at this pivotal time in history.
You are strong, courageous, and have what it takes to navigate this moment.

Wherever you find yourself in this season, I invite you to take a moment for yourself in the next week.

Pause. Reflect on one small thing you’re grateful for right now. Then think of a small win you had recently. Find a small way to celebrate yourself and remember the good in your life and keep moving onward.

I believe the need for changemakers like you has never been greater. The world needs you. Your community needs you.

Keep doing the good work,

Meico

Shock turned to anxiety and fear of funding cuts, program rollbacks, and the undoing of hard-fought progress. Then a sobering reality set in. The need for our work was still immense, and the work needed to keep moving...

I also know you have what it takes to keep things moving, but you can't do that if you're running on empty. As you plan for the end of the year, I invite you to take a moment this week to pause, reflect, and reset. This is an opportunity to slow down, recharge, and prepare you and your team...
